i wish i were a lyricist
lyricists are glorious in their own way. its a passion of words and language far more than i realize on my own accord. all set to the melodic beat of a drum or two. i can do the music. i can sing. i can play guitar. i believe i can, at least. i am warned that i can. the words though. the phrases. those that persuade love into existance. how can it be done? how is love written? further, how is love written is countless ways to cause every marriage to enjoy a song? and fear? how does fear escape the pen rather than eye? or care? or fun? or hate?
i attempt
i fail, but i attempt
i hope i understand eventually. id love my guitar to become more than just a pass-time for my fingers, my voice to become more than just another.
there is a vast difference between a lyricist and a song-writer.
the world could use more lyricists.
